Demand Planning Forward Deployed Engineer

Location: Bengaluru, India
Employment Type: Full-time

Build AI That Solves Real Supply Chain Problems.

What if the forecasting models and software you built directly influenced how businesses plan inventory, respond to changing demand, and make critical supply chain decisions?

At ManoloAI, we're looking for a Demand Planning Forward Deployed Engineer who enjoys working at the intersection of engineering, AI, data, and real-world business problems.

You'll work closely with enterprise customers to understand their planning challenges, build intelligent solutions, and help turn complex data into decisions that drive measurable outcomes.

This isn't a traditional implementation role. You'll be an engineer, problem solver, and trusted technical partner—helping shape solutions from the first customer conversation through production deployment.

About ManoloAI

ManoloAI is building the autonomous execution layer for enterprise supply chains.

Our mission is to help organizations transform data into intelligence, intelligence into decisions, and decisions into real-world outcomes.

Through our AI-native platform, Ariel, and our Forward Deployed Engineering teams, we help enterprises connect fragmented systems, make better decisions, and automate complex workflows across procurement, planning, and logistics.

We're a growing team of engineers, product thinkers, and supply chain technology veterans who believe enterprise AI should do more than generate insights. It should help businesses act on them.

The Opportunity

As a Demand Planning Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll work on challenging planning and forecasting problems where business context matters as much as algorithms.

You'll collaborate with customer stakeholders to understand how they forecast demand, manage inventory, and make planning decisions. Then you'll help design, develop, and deploy solutions that make those processes more intelligent, reliable, and responsive.

You'll have the opportunity to work across the entire solution lifecycle—from exploring messy enterprise data and developing forecasting models to building production-ready applications and integrating them with existing systems.

Your work won't stop at delivering a model or dashboard. You'll help ensure the solution is useful, trusted, and adopted by the people making decisions.

What You'll Do

  • Understand the problem. Work with enterprise customers to understand demand planning processes, operational constraints, and business objectives.

  • Build intelligent forecasting solutions. Develop and improve demand forecasting models using statistical methods, machine learning, and AI where appropriate.

  • Connect enterprise data. Integrate data from ERP, inventory, sales, planning, and external systems into reliable analytical pipelines.

  • Turn predictions into decisions. Build analytics, dashboards, and decision-support applications that help planners understand demand patterns, risks, and opportunities.

  • Engineer for production. Develop scalable, maintainable software and data pipelines that can operate reliably in enterprise environments.

  • Measure what matters. Evaluate forecast accuracy, bias, service levels, inventory implications, and other business outcomes.

  • Work across disciplines. Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, product teams, and customer stakeholders.

  • Keep improving. Incorporate customer feedback, monitor solution performance, and continuously improve models and workflows.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an engineer who combines technical depth with curiosity about how businesses operate.

Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Experience in software engineering, data engineering, data science, or building enterprise analytics solutions.

  • Strong Python and SQL skills.

  • Familiarity with demand forecasting, time-series analysis, statistical modeling, or machine learning.

  • Experience working with data pipelines, APIs, databases, and cloud-based systems.

  • Understanding of forecasting concepts such as seasonality, trends, forecast accuracy, and bias.

  • The ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into practical technical solutions.

  • Strong communication skills and comfort collaborating with business and technical stakeholders.

Experience with demand planning, inventory optimization, supply chain applications, or enterprise systems such as SAP, Oracle, Blue Yonder, or similar platforms is a plus.

You don't need to know every technology or planning methodology. What matters is your ability to learn quickly, reason through difficult problems, and build solutions that work.

Who Thrives at ManoloAI

You'll feel at home here if you:

  • Are naturally curious and ask thoughtful questions.

  • Enjoy understanding the business problem before writing code.

  • Take ownership from design through delivery.

  • Are comfortable working with imperfect data and ambiguous requirements.

  • Care about building reliable solutions, not just impressive prototypes.

  • Enjoy collaborating directly with customers and learning from their expertise.

  • Bring humility, resourcefulness, and a willingness to challenge assumptions.

  • Want to see your work make a tangible difference.

We value curiosity, ownership, customer empathy, humble swagger, and resourcefulness.
