At ManoloAI, we're looking for a Procurement Forward Deployed Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems at the intersection of enterprise software, AI, data, and business operations.

You'll work directly with customers to understand how procurement decisions are made, identify opportunities for intelligent automation, and build solutions that connect data, decisions, and execution.

This isn't a traditional software implementation role. You'll be a hands-on engineer, problem solver, and technical partner—helping take solutions from an initial customer conversation to production deployment.

The Opportunity

As a Procurement Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll work on real enterprise procurement challenges where technology, business processes, and decision-making come together.

You'll collaborate with procurement, sourcing, finance, and technology teams to understand how organizations manage suppliers, evaluate proposals, negotiate contracts, and execute purchasing decisions.

You'll help design, develop, and deploy intelligent applications, data integrations, and AI-powered workflows that simplify these processes and improve outcomes.

Your work won't end with a demonstration or proof of concept. You'll help ensure the solutions you build are reliable, integrated with enterprise systems, and useful to the people who depend on them.

You'll also bring what you learn from customers back into ManoloAI's product and engineering teams, helping shape the future of Ariel.

What You'll Do

  • Understand the business. Work directly with enterprise customers to understand procurement workflows, operational challenges, and opportunities for automation.

  • Build AI-powered solutions. Develop intelligent applications and agents for sourcing, supplier management, procurement analytics, contract workflows, and purchasing operations.

  • Connect enterprise systems. Integrate data and workflows across ERP, procurement, supplier, financial, and other enterprise applications.

  • Turn insights into action. Build solutions that move beyond reporting to support recommendations, approvals, and coordinated execution.

  • Engineer for production. Develop reliable APIs, backend services, data pipelines, and integrations that operate securely in enterprise environments.

  • Work with AI agents. Build and integrate LLM-powered capabilities, including document understanding, conversational analytics, workflow automation, and decision support.

  • Collaborate with customers. Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions and work through implementation challenges.

  • Shape the product. Identify reusable capabilities and patterns that can improve Ariel and accelerate future deployments.

  • Own the outcome. Test, deploy, monitor, and continuously improve the solutions you build.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an engineer who enjoys building technology and is curious about the business problems it solves.

Ideally, you'll bring:

  • 2–5 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, enterprise application development, or related technical roles.

  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.

  • Experience building backend services, APIs, data integrations, or enterprise applications.

  • Familiarity with relational databases, data pipelines, and cloud-based architectures.

  • Exposure to AI/ML, LLMs, agentic workflows, or intelligent automation.

  • The ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into working software.

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Comfort working directly with customers and collaborating across technical and business teams.

Experience in one or more of these areas is a plus:

  • Procurement, sourcing, supplier management, procure-to-pay, or source-to-contract workflows.

  • Enterprise applications such as SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or similar platforms.

  • Document intelligence, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or AI agents.

  • Enterprise integration patterns, APIs, and workflow orchestration.

  • Building and deploying customer-facing AI applications.
