Role Overview
We are looking for a Director of Engineering / Head of Engineering to lead the design, development, and scaling of ManoloAI’s platform and AI systems.
You will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing engineering team, defining the technical architecture, and delivering production-grade systems that operate within enterprise supply chains.
This role requires a combination of hands-on technical leadership, product thinking, and execution at startup speed.
What You’ll Do
Engineering Leadership
• Build and lead the engineering team across data, platform, and AI systems
• Set technical direction and engineering best practices
• Establish a high-performance, execution-focused engineering culture
Platform & Architecture
• Architect scalable data platforms and AI systems
• Design systems that integrate with ERP, logistics, and procurement platforms
• Lead the development of Ariel’s agentic architecture
Product & Execution
• Work closely with product and customers to define requirements
• Translate business problems into scalable technical solutions
• Drive end-to-end delivery from design to production
AI & Data Systems
• Oversee development of AI models, pipelines, and agent frameworks
• Ensure systems are reliable, observable, and production-ready
• Drive continuous improvement in performance and scalability
Hiring & Team Building
• Recruit and mentor top engineering talent
• Build a strong culture of ownership, learning, and execution
• Develop future engineering leaders within the team
What We’re Looking For
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, data platforms, or AI systems
• Experience leading engineering teams in a startup or high-growth environment
• Strong background in building data-intensive and distributed systems
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Familiarity with AI/ML systems and production deployments
• Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels
Nice to Have
• Experience in supply chain, logistics, or enterprise systems
• Experience integrating with ERP/WMS/TMS platforms
• Experience building AI-driven or agent-based systems
